Nathan has spent more than 20 years in conditioning science — as a practitioner, a researcher, and a coach educator. In 2020 he founded The Conditioning Consultant to close the gap between the science and what actually happens on the training paddock.

The problem
The spreadsheet era is over.
Strength training was standardised decades ago. Conditioning never was — and coaches are paying for it every week.
No tools exist
Strength training has been standardised for decades — 8 to 12 reps for hypertrophy, 3 to 6 for strength. Everyone knows the rules. But conditioning? There is no equivalent. Coaches use spreadsheets, WhatsApp screenshots, and guesswork. We interviewed 11 coaches across 4 countries — every single one confirmed: nothing exists.
Test data goes unused
Coaches run Yo-Yo tests, beep tests, time trials — then the results sit in a spreadsheet and die. There's no way to connect a test score to a training prescription. conditiond turns every test result into MAS, and MAS drives every session, every rep, every rest period. Run any field-based fitness test — 30-15 IFT, Yo-Yo IR1, 2K Time Trial, Beep Test, Bronco, and more. Enter the raw result and conditiond calculates each athlete's Maximal Aerobic Speed (MAS) — the single number that drives everything.

Group
Athletes are automatically sorted into conditioning groups — Gold, Silver, Bronze — based on their MAS. Every group trains at the right intensity for their fitness level. No more prescribing the same session to a squad of 30.

Prescribe
Build sessions across the full intensity continuum — from long tempo at 75% MAS through to supramaximal efforts prescribed off each athlete's Anaerobic Speed Reserve. Every pace, distance, and rest period is calculated per athlete. You set the session type, conditiond personalises the numbers — and draws the setup to scale on your own pitch, court, or track.
